This is a complete lesson from first stepping onto your board to linking those first basic turns. The video is divided into four parts.
The basic skidded turn is pretty much the same as your basic linked turn except that now the rider is typically more comfortable with speed and so the baord skids more through the turn. You will still shift your weight onto the front foot and torsionally twist the board to engage the sidecut to initiate the turn. As you progress into the turn, the rear foot will foolow through and pressure the same edge as the front foot, but just a little bit later. At the bottom of the turn through completion, the rider should be solidly riding on edge. The skid occurrs from the down hill momentum.
